Portugal in the spotlight in 'IDEAT'

In its July-August 2023 issue, "the most design of magazines", IDEAT, celebrates the art of living Portuguese style, with more than 100 pages dedicated to the relevant players and the best addresses of Portuguese design.

The French magazine highlights "What country is more symbolic than Portugal to talk about a design that finds its dynamics thanks to the context in which it is practiced? A country with ideal natural conditions for producing specific materials - such as ceramics or cork - and that has been able to preserve ancestral know-how about them - such as embroidery or woodworking?"

Several Portuguese designers - such as Toni Grilo, Marco Sousa Santos, Tomás Viana, Joana Astolfi, Rui Alves, Paulo Neves and Alexandre Kumagai (studio gud), Christophe de Sousa, Gonçalo Campos, Rui Pereira, Sara de Campos, Joana Vasconcelos, Manuel Aires Mateus - or foreigners who have chosen Portugal, such as Sam Baron, Gabriel Tan, Babled Emmanuel, or NOE DUCHAUF NOTRE- LAURENT talk about what inspires them in our country.
